What are the 1 - 2 most important things you learned in this course?
How will these things be part of your future work as a teacher or librarian?

Learning the basics of systems and how they are put together was really valuable information for me. The videos covering different systems was very interesting. In my previous career, I always tried to find more efficient processes, and this seems like the next step in improving that skill. I am a very detail oriented person as well as being very familiar and comfortable with computers, and so I feel that working with systems would be a natural fit. Libraries, like most workplaces, don't always have the most efficient systems, and I would enjoy improving them.

Though I had some frustrations, I foresee learning PowerApps basics as being very useful. PowerApps is a powerful program. I think part of my frustration working on my application came from the lack of permissions I had, as I could not connect to my own database and have everything work like I wanted it to. Despite this, this introduction was very important because I found while building my app that it is a very commonly used program, so I am probably going to encounter it in the future. I can see how useful it would be to be able to fairly quickly and easily build an application for internal or external use. It is another tool in my toolbelt.

What are 1 - 2 things you need to learn next to build upon what you learned in this course?
How will you learn these things?

If I want to go further in this direction, some coding knowledge would be very useful. I have been relearning HTML and CSS for fun, so theoretically learning another coding language would not be too terribly difficult. From what I understand, just like learning new spoken languages, once you learn one it is easier to learn more. I think it would even more so for coding languages since they are all in English and I would just need to learn the syntax. I am enrolled in a Python special topics class as well as Internet Fundamentals and Design, and there are a lot of online resources for learning coding, so I have many options.
